ICE CREAM MONDAY - Double-scoop

Ice Cream Monday

Every now and again we experience (and I’m sure many of you would have once experienced) the phenomenon that occurs when one consumes too much Ice Cream… I would term it… brain freeze…

I should add that this has however, the characteristics much more aligned with a stroke… We’ve still been eating ice cream… We just haven’t updated the blog. I’ve been recovering. Thanks for asking.

So after a few little self directed meta-cognitive therapy sessions – we’re back online!

Last week – the 5th of April, we went for another new addition to the ‘supermarket gourmet’ selection “Maggie Beer” – Burnt Fig Jam, Honeycomb and Caramel.

http://www.maggiebeer.com.au/farmshop/demonstrations/

It’s a little bit fun. Has a strong / yet chilled quintessential caramel scent that wafts out of the bucket after you open in, and some well formed veins of honeycomb that pop in and out of every scoop. Delicious.

I’d call this a ‘heavy’ ice cream, very powerful taste… you probably wont get past 2 average scoops, or 150CCs for you nurses out there.

Week 2 (Yesterday) – we went a little more informal and picked up a Paddle Pop Cyclone while at the beach after a swim and a sunbake.

The Cyclone is an amazing piece of ice cream genius. It’s kinda like a slushie but not… It’s actually really hard to describe but it’s the consistency that makes it amazeballs… it’s probably the closest that ‘out of the deep-freezer beach side covenience store’ selections get to what aficionados would describe as a ‘fruit sorbet… on a stick’.

It’s also good for suggesting to your new girlfriend on a first date.. (go get one and you’ll see why).

The Paddle Pop Cyclone has got the fun, carefree flavours that Paddle Pop do best (all artificial I’m sure), balanced with a texture that’s a little more grown up… then they make it look completely radioactive and something like a glowstick… just to keep it in the market for kids..

It’s a perfect summer treat J

Thanks for stopping by – let’s not make it so long between visits next time J

ICE CREAM MONDAY - An Australian Story

Ice Cream Monday

'making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

Today (well, Monday) I decided to go back to the shelves of the supermarkets, and take a long hard look at what was on offer.

When talking widely available, 'premium' offering mass produced ice cream, there are a few names that instantly come to mind.

Connoisseur, Viennetta... Homer Hudson

I must admit... The Hudson lands were virgin territory for me.

So, for the ginger first steps - I decided to go with something that maintained a little bit of national pride.

"THE DIGGER"

Unlike many in it's class, the Homer Hudson variety comes with a backstory.
For one - it's Australian Ice Cream (out of Eagle Farm no less - bonus), for two - The Digger was designed by Australian Idol (in the original definition, not the shitty show) Peter Evans, the name behind Australian fooderies such as Hugo's in Bondi and The Pantry in Melbourne.

The Digger is a deliciously simple piece of deliciousness that somehow found a balance between
Anzac biscuit chunks (of which I'm told account for 20% of the tubs contents) and honeycomb ice cream.

Like many of the deep freeze offerings that you pluck from a supermarket, I would suggest leaving it sit on the counter for about 5mins before you tuck in, to allow the evil icey fingers of that cold bastard Black Frost to wither away and die, but once it's warmed up to 'better start eating it before it melts' temperature, the consistency and famous elasticity of a good ice cream really come through.

Good for a movie night and eating directly from the tub.

7/10

Good work Pete.

ICE CREAM MONDAY - with my little bro

Ice Cream Monday

'making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

This week I've handed over the reigns to my little bro - Tom Hamley.

On ya bike son...

It was any other typical Ice-Cream Monday...

After a drunken night at Fluffies Jane Schon and I strolled down queen street the next day still with a slight glaze on their eyes.

In a desperate bid to recover we spotted Gelatissimo on Albert street....

I opted for a three scoop sorbet combination including mango, lemon and passionfruit.. While Jane chose a two scoop chocolate sensation of cookies and cream and macadamia and caramel chocolate...

After a few mouthfuls of deliciousness I was overcome by the feeling that told me this was a good decision, however as we scooped ever closer to the bottom the cups the effects of ice-cream mixing last nights alcohol suddenly didn't seem like a good mix and the nausea set in.

Having said this, the deliciousness was still appreciated...

Tom = 9/10 for the passion-fruit and mango while the lemon element gets a 6 for it's overpower..ful..ness...

But...

My uncertainty in the scoring however... may be due to my choice of mixtures....

Jane's review...
With cookies and cream being my favourite all time flavour it definitely rated in my
top three and you can never go wrong with caramel or nuts.. Overall

8.75/10...

ICE CREAM MONDAY - with a touch of class....

ICE CREAM MONDAY

'making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

You must excuse my rather lassiez-fair approach to the blog over the last couple of weeks.

I make no apologies for this... and hope that you may indeed be taking the the depths of the barren chest freezer that is life to find your own sugary source of inspiration in my occasional lapses of routine.

Indeed it is not called Ice Cream Wednesday, nor Tuesday... and so despite all attempts to refine the goings on of the Ice Cream world into a 24hour window, I sometimes... fall asleep on the couch.

This week I decided to dabble in a decent dollop of decadence dat I dared don't done d(b)efore
.
Gold Class movies
-Delicious.

You really do get what you pay for here (from the movie end anyway)

Nice big seats - that comfortably snuggle two.... although I'm sure that practise is frowned upon...

And enough space that you don't have to listen the fatso next door choking on chewing his popcorn...

Unfortunately though.... MASSSSSSIVE let down in the Sundae department...

As you can see... (or perhaps you cannot... Anyone want to fill the position of official ICM photographer??... iPhone is being pushed to limits these days)

...for starters... nowhere near enough thought put into the presentation....

A sundae should be something that shines with radiant beauty.... not a blackhole for the soul

This was described as

A decadent chocolate fudge brownie sundae with lindt chocolate

ALL OF THOSE THINGS ARE AWESOME.
Together - you'd think this would be mind blowing....

And for a casual $23.00.... you'd want it to be...

I think what they forgot was the majority of an item such as this is held together with THE ICE CREAM... which tasted suspiciously of over frozen high school camp quality 'palsonic' style vanilla... It literally reminded me of frozen milk.

So F minus for your shitty sundae Gold Class... sort your shit out.... that's 1/4 of a tank of petrol that you just tried to pass as Ice Cream... not cool man...

I will be back... and it better have been fixed....

Kind regards,

Benny

ICE CREAM MONDAY - W/ Trav White

'making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

True to our mission - Ice Cream Monday is all about sharing the love...
This week we headed down to the Woolsheds to get the guest word on some delicious treats with
Trav, Jensen, Gee, Cass and Wal.

And now over to Trav for the review....

It was a Friday night in the valley where I bumped into an old friend Ben “Hammertime” Hamely. After a few beers it came to my attention that I haven’t been involved with Ice cream Mondays… this began to trouble me… soon the deal was done, Dinner and ice cream on Monday…

5pm – Monday at work came along, a quick call to Jensen & “The Hammer”, we organised for an 8pm ice cream meet up ( I didn’t want to say date – because that would sound gay… but what the hell – we’re two grown men induldging in some frozen treats on a Monday night… the world is our oyster)

The Hammer arrived on time, and we made a swift trip to coles new farm to gather the goodies…

What was on the menu?

Hammers choice – Weis mango sorbet

Trav’s Choice – Connoisseur cookies and cream

Word soon spread of the ice cream date and within 10minutes my roomies Jensen, Gee and late arrival Wal were on the case.

After Gee’s proclamation that he was the world expert on Cookies and cream – we stuck in.

Textures were just delicious – and I like that you can pull the cookies apart in your mouth.

Our other friend Cass – was feeling particularly insightful and described the cookie and cream experience as…. “its just yeah – the ice cream itself isn’t white – but a strange grey – and its interesting that the cookies themselves don’t freeze and stay separate to the ice cream.”

Wal’s word on the Mango….

9/10 due that weis bar original is better but its pretty good for a mango sorbet.

Jensen “deliciousness”

Gee – “ fuckin’ awesome”

All in all we decided that we really should do this more often, and perhaps put a bit more effort into out writing skills…

ICE CREAM MONDAY - Pulling Cones - 50 cent style

Ice Cream Monday

'making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

This week we took a stroll down to a local Logan haunt after a spot of cable-skiing (epicly failed on my part I must say... I'm unco at the best of times... and today.... was no exception - however my comrades performed to a standard I can only equate to the quality of the first bite into a Mango sorbet in the middle of hot summers day - pretty good).

I digress.... we were here to sample what is undoubtedly one of the most famous icons in popular Ice Creamology ...... The 50cent cone.... you can't get a dolla outta me!

If you haven't already... please press play on the below soundtrack

In keeping with the affordability of the product, this week I recruited 4 guest reviewers to pass judgement on the sweet treat... however as a result... could only afford $0.50 worth of professional commentary... Straight up - just like the cone.

The results were thus...

BRENDAN HORSFALL - The creaminess of the reconstituted pig fat is second to none. Smooth consistency, just like grandma used to make. The cone housing does taste like a cardboard box but is to be expected for the price. Overall, good value and good taste. 4 cherries out of 5.

CHRISTOPHER RUDDOCK - I took my first bite and suddenly there I was at 10 years of age, looking into the eyes of a chubby yet blissfully happy child. We sat together enjoying the one thing we had in common - 50c soft serves - all the while thinking 'man if only I had a $1, then i would have two!

MARK LOBO - It was so good, I forgot to taste it.

CHRIS RAINE - The Mcdonalds soft-serve machine - a never-ending soft white drill, burrowing a little hole into Australia's obesity since 1971.

I could ramble on... but lets just finish on a high note with a photo

OR at GPO

Aston Shuffle straight from Future Music Festival 2010, are set to rock the hell outta that place! With supports from local bad boys, BRETT J, JIMMY VEGAS, TRAV WHITE, DODZY, BENIBEE & ANIKI this after party is set to be a blast!

The Aston Shuffle;

In 2099 from the outer reaches of space, unstable alien technology was harnessed to teleport a secret race of genetically altered super androids back in time to Earth in the year 2005 to subdue humanity...only two survived.

Taking on the human forms of Vance Musgrove, a mad scientist slash male prostitute and Mikah Freeman, a truck driving ex-action hero they formed an ultimate plan to enslave the human race by capturing the consciousness of the worlds youth with mind altering soundwaves. They constructed a music studio from discarded gameboy’s, laser disc players and Superstar Celebrity Microphones, drawing their power from Earths main energy sources such as ‘alcohol’ and ‘nicotine’. Needing no sleep, they worked day and night on their sonic apocalypse planning to destroy the planet one dance floor at a time. It was there in that very room that two became one and like a malevolent Voltron their evil forces combined to become The Aston Shuffle. The battle for planet earth has begun. Which side are you on? There are no chairs in the Aston Shuffle world because there is no need to sit down, you wouldn’t want to. They are the punters pied piper, princesses of progression and they have arrived. The Aston Shuffle will twist you into all kinds of positions, but they love to be on top.
In 2007 they climbed all the way to #1 in the Aria charts with their worldwide hit “For Everyone”, which remained at the front for 5 consecutive weeks. Their remix of Pnau’s Baby also held the coveted #1 for 7 consecutive weeks, giving them two top ten singles in the chart at the same time. No Australian based super android duo has ever achieved this in Aria music history.
In 2008 they joined forces with another of dance music’s bearded dominators Tommie Sunshine to record ‘Stomp Yo Shoes”, they then followed this up with a massive remix of the worldwide smash by Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and Chrome ‘Dance Wiv Me’. They have also remixed the likes of Bunny Lake, , Nu Coalition and Rhys.

On top of all these releases The Aston Shuffle still found time to complete a mix for the internationally respected Ministry of Sound Mashed Four compilation which they did alongside UK DJ/Producer Kissy Sellout, then toured nationally to promote the CD. Once their work there was done the super duo headed to the northern hemisphere to showcase their impeccable DJ skills and forward thinking productions.

Now their dynamic Nu-Rave sound has been shot all over the faces of clubbers worldwide in all different guises and just as importantly over the crème of the international dance music producing fraternity. Having supported the likes of Digitalism, Justice, Busy P, Feadz, Felix the Housecat, Larry Tee, Tronik Youth, La Riots, Sinden, Switch, Claude Von Stroke and Jesse Rose to
name a few. As well as playing at virtually all the festivals in their homeland of Australia.

2009 has seen the release of ‘Do You Want More’ featuring Danimal Kingdom, whom also fronts Kissy Sellout’s band, and a remix for NASA’s ‘Gifted’ which features Kanye West, Santogold and Lykke Li. They have also remixed Grafton Primary’s ‘All Stars’. On top of all this The Aston Shuffle have once again delivered a DJ mix for another massive dance compilation in the Ministry of Sound Clubbers guide to 2009 alongside the Stafford Brothers and Bass Kleph.

So today The Aston Shuffle are everywhere, their music is in the clubs and on the radio and features on the worlds biggest dance compilations such as The Ministry of Sound 2007, 2008 and 2009 Annuals. Ministry of Sound Clubbers guide to 2007, 2008, 2009 and Spring, Good Vibes 2008, Anything Goes as well as Ministry of Sound Sessions 4 and 5 making them the poster boys for the Nu-Rave Generation.

So listen and understand that The Aston Shuffle is out there. They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, remorse or fear. They absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are all dancing.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND, LOVE FREE FORM CREW!

ICE CREAM MONDAY - Double-episode day - with the Raine family

'Making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

Featuring - The Raine Family

Sadly, the Gelato store in Caloundra isn't open on a Monday night, which was my initial plan for the review. However, with deadlines due for Icecream Monday and my editor really riding me to get something in, I had to trundle down to the second rate Caloundra icecream store .... Baskin and Robbins. Rather than eat a single tub, I decided to get my family involved so I brought home a family tub of B&R's finest four.

My dad decided to leave the dinner table early than the rest of us, the cheeky man, so we had to divide the remaining half amongst the rest of us.

So my sisters and I were left with a motley collection of chocolate&marshmallow, cookies and cream, hokey pokey and butterscotch crunch. We all expected it to be a far cry from the excellence in icecream goodness we have become accustomed to (from the Milano Gelato store).

Unfortunately, the chocolate and marshmallow tasted like wheels bumping over day-old roadkill. It was jammed in on top of the rest of them so it seemed to seep through the rest of the flavours, setting myself and my sisters on a group write-off session of the rest of them.

The saving graces of the icecream experience was far and away, the cookie dough and hokey pokey however, one has to concede that they most likely didn't make those two components, so really B&R can't take the credit for them.

In saying that - there is none left in the tub now, which begs the question... how bad does icecream have to be to be inedible???

2/10

ICE CREAM MONDAY - Birthday dessert immersion therapy

'Making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

This week's a bit of a special episode - for years I've always accosted my mother to take some sort of literary stand, to put down on paper what she's always theorising and deliberating...
Coming from a classical English and literary background, I've often found her ramblings (sorry mum) quite well constructed and informed, delivered in a manner that, while sometimes of debatable ethics, undoubtedly well constructed and hard to unseat.
I think I got my stubbornness from Mum.So after a spot of dinner for her birthday we headed down to Freestyle Tout (Emporium)... and I got her thoughts on dessert... fitting I thought...

Here's the word....

After thinking I might 'one day' go to Freestyle Tout for dessert ....for years..and yet never actually going out of my way to get there...as well as thinking..as so many of us do from time to time...all of those mature and self-righteous thoughts about the unnecessary nature of extravagant desserts in today's carb'/caloric counting lifestyle...I finally got to go, last night, for my seriously special events only dessert immersion therapy.....My companions dived enthusiastically into the Sticky Date and the Chocolate Muds and the Ice-cream Sundaes...hmmm...that coffee/ afagatto creation does look amazingly inviting....next time..and there will be a next time...

Personally, I picked the Sorbet for my toe-dip into the wild world of desserts after dark in the city.

Described as mango, strawberry and raspberry sorbets in a chocolate coated biscuit shell casing...it arrived as described! This in itself was a pleasant event- how often do we read the menu and then take delivery of something that doesn't quite match the expectation?

The first spoon full is always the clinch for me.... a tentative swipe on one side of the mountain of sorbet in front of me...hmmm....mango....hmmmm...sorbet....very very cool stuff...and YUM!....the occasional glance at what the others were doing..but...YUM...back to the plate...mangomangomangomango....YUM....a very sensual and pleasurable experience....too many words...JUST YUM.

NO...there were no leftovers...even after we all had said...'this is too much for me on my own...'...but...we all ate every single mouthfull.... YUM!

I was worried about going out for just dessert....but...ok...I get it now..I now know why there can be a line of people waiting to get into a place that just sells desserts in the middle of the night....YUM!

Freestyle Tout delivers.

ICE CREAM MELBOURNE! Featuring the Madcore Crew

Ice Cream Monday

‘making life a little more delicious, one state at a time’

Welcome to Melbourne!

A city of 3.73 Million People, it is currently 71degrees farenheit and temporary home to a few noble representatives of the madcore crew.

On their remote adventures to the windy city the crew were invited by our recently relocated friends Anthea and Caitlin, to sample one of her new local ice cream haunts – 7Apples – in down town St Kilda.

Thea’s choices were the Turkish Delight (in a cone not a cup) with a supplementary scoop of the Bananna Bulce de Leche.

Admitting from the start that the Banana was chosen because it “sounded exotic” Ms Nalder went on to describe her experiences with the Turkish Delight – ‘a delightfully delicate and asthetically pleasing baby pink artistic interpretation of a classic flavour, but a little more reminiscent of the flavour of “pink fizzers from tuckshop” than true Turkish Delight’

Caitlin was the fastest of the crew to finish hers, whether this was due to a better flavour combo or that she was just ‘all over that shit’ – we’ll never know…

Caitlin went with a classic chocolate spin off – the Ferrero Rocher with a side scoop of Vanilla and Strawberry (also picked for its “pretty swirl”).

Although Caitlin mentioned that once you’ve tasted the Ferrero Gelato flavour, effectively you’ve tasted them all, she was very impressed with the Vanilla and Strawberries light flavour that ‘really complemented the chocolate’.

Tim went for a classic Snartt combination of Ferrero and Mango sorbet, and, being a man of few words… had difficulty explaining exactly how he felt about the experience… something along the lines of

“It went more like – ‘PUFF’ than ‘POW!’ – none the less, it had depth… you could say it was a 3D mango… a bit like Oliver Twist… or a similar play… left you wanting a bit more’

Nestled in close to the iconic Luna Park the St Kilda Road setting was “a good place to share with good company” according to Mr. Snartt.

ICE CREAM MONDAY - Side Dishes - EPISODE 19

Well – as of today, its been a solid 19 weeks.

Ice Cream from HERE ------------------->→ to HERE!

So we thought, in the lead up to our 20th weekday, we might take a little step to the side, branch out… and dabble in some popular side dishes…

This week – FUDGE

Before you even think of making that call before I do…
Yes – we packed that fudge… we packed it good… right into the box

The awesomely titled Fudgeyboombahs! Is located just down the road from Noosa in the sleepy little hinterland village of Montville.

It has that classic candy shop smell and besides offering almost every kind of fudge you could ever want or dream of eating, it also offered a delectable selection of assorted other confectionaries. Musks, honey roasted macadamias, the works.

We sampled 6 of the finest fudges Montville had to offer.

Starting with a staple of any sweet-tooth-type – ULTRA CHOC (think super refined dark cocoa type Chocolate – intense)
We then drifted across to the nutty varietys with a DARK CHOCOLATE MACADAIA, and MAPLENUT (Maple syrup and pecan – awwwesome)
We then balanced out the selection with another popular staple that had been adapted to its Fudgey-counterpart… TURKISH DELIGHT.

Feeling as though we had gone for our favourites and having neglected the potential gold mines of originality that birthed the entire fudge movement, we then gave the reins back to the eccentric shopkeeper to give us one of HIS ALTIME FAVOURITE, and THE CLASSIC FUDGE.

These were – MONTVILLE BLACKFOREST (a special concoction designed by the man himself, and tasting like the most perfect Cherry ripe you’ve ever eaten) and RUSSIAN CARAMEL – classic – rich – awesome.

I had intended to refer to a photo here of the items we got… however in our sugar-rushed frenzy – we ate them all… I did manage to get a photo of the box though.

Fudgeyboombahs know they are out in the range and don’t let that get in the way of a party – you can call them and have you fudge shipped overnight straight to you door – no questions asked… that’s what I call service.

CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!

Shop 12, Village Square Montville, or you can call ahead on 07 5478 5455 to place your order!

ICE CREAM MONDAY - Featuring Cptn Sean Noreiks

Ice Cream Monday

'Making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

This week we are honoured to be joined by a man that goes by many names...

Some call him the Baker, others call him the Captain... some call him Fluffy... those people are now dead... I call him Sean... but call him what you will... the man knows food.... and this week I invited him to share with us his revelatory journey back to childhood as we took from the freezer an odly shaped icon of the 90's

THE SUNNYBOY

the following is the true autobiographic account of Sean Norieks.... read on... if you dare....

Well ahhh….

The story goes a little like this…

I was entertaining one fine summer’s eve, whilst preparing a beautiful Sherpa chicken tagine dish. Suddenly my housemate Ben promptly stated that he needed to pop down to the shops to pick up some things…

Two hours later. He returned with two boxes of Sunnyboys and nothing else…

He explained that the Sunnyboys weren’t the reason he had gone to the shops in the first place, but that dwindles into insignificance compared to the fact that SUNNYBOYS ARE BACK!! And hopefully to stay.

Having had a privileged childhood I was fortunate enough to have sampled Sunnyboys during my frozen confectionary heydays … and I must say it was regular feature on my tuckshop order, due mostly to its irregular shape… and complexity of its… frozen… deliciousness…

Staring at the newly arrived packages… I wondered… are they going to be able to recreate this deliciousness 10 years later?

Not leaving a moment more to chance I threw the Sunnyboys in the freezer… checking every 30mins on their status… nervously prodding, turning them around and replacing them to encourage the homogenous and well distributed freezing process.

….

….

….

2 days later…

The Sunnyboys were ready… whatever it is that keeps them from rapidly freezing obviously adds to the deliciousness.

Glug cola was my first choice – being a cola connoisseur in my youth it was upon first bit I was instantly transported back into my colourful short shorts with patterns on them…. riding around on tricycle convincing my brother Brett that my nearly finished Sunnyboy was better than his only just opened one… and swapping with him to experience the flavour sensation all over again…

As far as water based frozen delicacies go – this is by far the best.

I attribute this to their Flavour, Unique Shape and quirky, larger-than-life, asymmetrical, in-your-face, nonconformist attitude they are just as good ten years on as I remembered – I really hope my flatmate has to pop off to shops again sometime soon….

I give them 8/12

…mostly due to the fact that I ate 8 of the 12 he bought…

Yours truly,

Sean

ICE CREAM MONDAY w/ THE FRETS!

Ice Cream Monday

'Making life a little more delicious, one week at a time'

This week we caught up with Brisbane's very own soon to be internationally acclaimed Ice Cream reviewers.

We caught up at the infamous valley sugar-shack. ShliX to sample some of their wares.
And after a fairly intensive perusal of the options, the boys finally decided on their flavours.

Matt - Cookies + Cream
Peter - Chubby Watermelon
Maui - Ferrero Rocher

Mitchell - Red Bull

However the Ice Cream suddenly took second place as Peter caught up with his long time sweetheart and movie-star friend Isabel Lucas (yeah - the crazy robot chick from Transformers!!)

So after about 20minutes of listening to Peter trying to offer Isabel the remains of his melted ice cream (awesome by the way) we got back to business....

Unfortunately everyone had somehow managed to get flavours that

"tasted exactly like the things they were named after"

Matt's ice cream (bottom centre) was described as tasting like actual pieces of cookies were in there....
Peter's Chubby Watermelon (left)... Just like biting into that sweet darker bit of a fresh watermelon....

I had a Walnut on a date (top right) - one of my favourites by far - if you haven't yet tried it... Put it on your list of things to do before you die... right below Isabel Lucas :P

Maui's Ferrero (top left) yeap you guessed it.... just Like a Ferrero Rocher - although he did put alot of brain power into coming to that conclusion (bless his cotton socks)

However we finally hit upon a literary gold mine with Mitchell's Red Bull (bottom right)

Tasting like - a carbonated apple juice on stereoids... bam!

In an effort to get a little more from the review process than complementing ShliX for making flavours that immaculately represent the things they're named after... We made a group decision to get one more....

A bit Chai

Tasting something like a creamy doughnut....
.... but more like the type you get from woolies...
...... and with faux Chai powder (according to Maui)

The gauntlet was definitely thrown down - and we'll be sure to follow up on the ingredients with ShliX in the coming weeks.

Resting back into the lull after a fairly intense sugar rush - the boys wandered back to get ready for a gig. They're off overseas to showcase their new material for labels in LA, New York and London and will be back on Australian shores sometime in March.

We're gonna try and get an international guest review in the mean time....

Until then !!!

Peace, Love and Double-scoops!

Benny
