Freeformers Top 5! By Bobby York

We've been a bit slack with this top 5, we are keen to get it happening every week or so with one of our company dj's featuring their 5 favourite tracks at the moment. This week we have Bobby York showing some underground tunes that are all worth a listen.

ENJOY!!!

Oxia - Whole Life

This is a new track by the well established Oxia who has quite an extensive discography,in his latest 'Sun Step' EP release on 8Bit records he has really nailed it on the head especially with the track 'Whole Life',
this track has to be one of the tech-house tracks of the year, it has soul it has rhythm, the production on this track is masterclass, the bassline is solid and really fits well with
the groove he has set to this track,.i'd love to hear this at a late afternnon set going into the night, would definantly set the mood!!

Fake Blood - I Think I Like It

From his new EP 'Fix your Accent' comes the track 'I Think I Like It' this tracks a little different from some other recent realeases of fake blood's but it is definantly winning him over new fans, here he has taken a catchy vocal put it behind an awesome energetic house rhythm!..the way he uses the numerous samples and instruments in this track is nothing but pro, this track has had great dj support,i do remember myself hearing beni drop it at parklife 09!!

Adam Shaw - Frog Face

This is a new realease for Adam Shaw on Mark Knight's Toolroom Records and its one hell of a chunky tech record, this track makes you want to do nothing but dance, the way the vocal fits with the drum loop is perfect, the synth stabs really makes the trak keep its momentum, this is the kind of track that would definantly get people out of there seat!

Nipp - Engineer

This is a new release for the relatively unheard of Nipp on Tribal Vision Recordings, this would have to be my favourite track of the new EP, the melody in the this track
is a guess the word to describe it is soothing,i love the way he keeps this track deep while having a driving bass synth to keep it dancefloor as fuck, this track is a great listen and of my favourites for the
year without a doubt.

Phelps - Pitfield Girl

This is a track by Phelps, his debut release onto beatport as well as Eskimo Records, this one is coming with a straight up indie sound, this track is very uplifting and i think would go down well at the end of a set, it has a nice catchy melody which some massive synth sounds and yes anyone getting into the ever growing indie sound
be sure to grab a copy!@beatport.com
